It’s an Open House Party & You’re Invited

Look who’s having a party!

Common Ground is not quite a year out of the blocks, so it’s too soon for an anniversary party, but it’s coming up on party season and we can’t help ourselves. We’re looking around for our party shoes and we’ve booked a band and y’all just have to come.

It’s our Open House Party — one part Open House, two parts House Party — and it’s coming up this Friday, October 20th.

We’re happy as can be to have VanCan & Company as our special musical guests. If you saw them at Lamasco or Front Porch Fest, or at this summer’s Franklin Street Bazaar, you know I’m talking about. If you haven’t caught a show yet, now’s your chance.

VanCan & Company. These are some hard core women.

And of course there will be food! Tasty vegan bites, including something we’re trying out with local persimmons, and our fabulous chocolate truffles, if I can keep from eating them all. (I can. I promise.)

You can meet the people who are creating and facilitating the programs and projects here at the Zion Center, and find out what’s in store. You know we have Linda’s Little Bookstore and the Organic Produce Club, but did you know about the Qi Gong class that meets every Tuesday? Monday Refuge Recovery and Thursday Kundalini yoga? The new art project?

There’s a lot going on. Find out about it!

Plus we’ll be introducing a yoga instructor who is facilitating an event here at the Center in a couple weeks, and we think you’ll be intrigued. No spoilers, just come hear all about it.

6 – 9 p.m. this Friday. The event is free, but we’ll be passing the hat for donations, so come prepared to give the band some love, and help make this a great not-quite-one-year-but-really-who’s-counting, let’s-have-a-party Open House Party.

See you Friday!
