Well, that happened quickly.
We’ve barely bid farewell to summer sorbets and farmers markets and here comes the West Side’s best week of the year.
Truth: we’re pretty into our fresh fruits and veggies here at Common Ground, but we also love the spirit of community, the significance of annual rituals and rites and traditions, and the joy of a bacchanalia that goes on for days.
Go early for the freshest fry-oil. That’s what I was told.
And at the end of our week-long fry-fest that is the West Side Nut Club Fall Festival, we can traipse over to the east side on Sunday when the Islamic Society of Evansville hosts its annual International Food Festival.
It really is a delicious community, isn’t it?
