Common Ground Kitchen serves fresh, flavorful plant-based lunches Monday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m at the Zion Center for Spiritual Development & Healing, 518 Ingle Street in downtown Evansville, Indiana.

HUMMUS & QUINOA TABOULI PLATE 

House-made hummus and a lemon-vinaigrette-dressed tabouli salad made with quinoa, cucumbers and chopped parsley. Served with apples & flatbread. (v, gf w/o flatbread, nf)

RAINBOW RICE BOWL w/CHICKPEA PATTIES

Colorful pan-seared vegetables on brown basmati rice, topped with three savory chickpea patties and our tahini-based goddess dressing. (v, gf, nf)

THAI VEGETABLE BOWL

Pan-seared and raw seasonal vegetables on brown basmati rice, topped with sunflower seeds and house-made Thai peanut sauce. (v, gf, contains peanuts)

 MEDITERRANEAN VEGGIE WRAP 

Seasonal pan-seared vegetables, fresh salad greens, raw shredded carrot, and our house-made hummus wrapped in a whole-wheat tortilla with a drizzle of goddess dressing. Served with green salad or quinoa tabouli. (v, gf option available, nf)

BIG SUMMER SALAD

A big bowl of fresh salad greens topped with radish, cucumbers, shredded carrot, chickpeas, sunflower seeds, dried cranberries, and choice of lemon vinaigrette or goddess dressing. (v, gf, nf)

SOUP & SIDE

House-made soup from a rotating selection of seasonal favorites, served with your choice of green salad or quinoa tabouli. (v, gf, nf)

Soup To Go

Each week we offer a refrigerated, ready-to-heat soup for purchase by the pint or quart. Orders are taken through Friday of the week preceding, and soups are available for pickup the following Tuesday.

Quarts are $10, pints are $6, and come to you in a classic Mason jar that you can keep or return. Always vegan & gluten-free. Here’s what we’re cooking up for June:

June 5: Thai Red Curry, that spicy, sweet-potato-based, coconut-milk-spiked bowl of lusciousness. Have you tried it over Thai rice noodles? Order by Friday, June 1.

June 12: Italian Vegetable. A complete meal in a jar. Like a minestrone with no pasta, just all the veggies and all the flavor. Order by June 8.

June 19: Egyptian Red Lentil. This is the pale golden potato-based, curry-spiced soup you can enjoy on its own or over rice. Order by June 15

June 26: Zuppa Toscana. Thin-sliced potatoes, shredded deep green kale, a creamy broth. Summer soup doesn’t get much better than this. Order by June 22
