Common Ground Kitchen serves fresh, flavorful plant-based lunches Monday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m at the Zion Center for Spiritual Development & Healing, 518 Ingle Street in downtown Evansville, Indiana.

Dine in or carry out. Pay what you can. We accept cash, cards, and Paypal.




All meals are plant-based and vegan-friendly. Most are naturally gluten-free, and when they’re not, we typically have a gluten-free option available, so please ask. 

We sometimes serve meals or desserts that contain peanuts or tree nuts. If you are nut-sensitive, please let us know. 

Pay what you can. A minimum of $7 per meal helps to keep the lights on.

Soup To Go

Each week we offer a refrigerated, ready-to-heat soup for purchase by the pint or quart. Orders are taken through Friday of the week preceding, and soups are available for pickup the following Tuesday.

Quarts are $10, pints are $6, and come to you in a classic canning jar that you can keep or return. Always vegan & gluten-free.

Jan. 8: Sopa de Verdura (order by Jan. 4) This Mexican Vegetable soup is brightly seasoned, lightly spiced, and chock-full of all the colorful veggies. It’s a great start to the New Year.

Jan. 15: Thai Red Curry (order by Jan 11) Perennial favorite, luscious and zippy, blended smooth with sweet potatoes and coconut milk and just the right amount of red curry heat.

Jan. 22: Golden Lentil w/Spinach & Tomatoes (order by Jan 18) We introduced this soup in November and folks really loved it. Chunky and flavorful and spiked with Indian curry spices.

Jan. 29: Chipotle Black Bean (Chili Style) (order by January 25) We’ve taken our Chipotle Black Bean soup and created a nice, thick chili version offered just in time for Superbowl parties. Enjoy it as it is or layer it with corn chips to make zesty nachos.

Keep the stress out of your holiday cooking this year with simple tips and menu ideas for gatherings and family festivities. We’ll prepare dishes suitable for a holiday potluck table, a contribution to a big family meal, or a tasty start-to-finish dinner of your own. You’ll get to sample everything we make, ask all the questions, and download all the recipes.

$20 per person.
